This quarter-sawn white oak chest has a unique story. Built from oak originally used as paneling in the current Wisconsin state capitol building, it was reclaimed during renovations. The oak was harvested in the early 1900s from the site where the governor's mansion now sits. Our long-time friend and lumber dealer Buzz Holland came into possession of the wood in the 1990s and asked us build this beautiful chest.

As with all of our blanket chests, it is lined with aromatic cedar and furnished with safe, slow-close hinges.

Dimensions: 35" wide, 21 ¾" deep, 34 ½" tall
